Q-Tip - Amplified - {vinyl LP}

The infectious, genre-redefining solo debut that bridged Golden Era conscious hip-hop with sleek turn-of-the-millennium pop swagger.

First released in November 1999 following the initial disbandment of A Tribe Called Quest, Amplified launched the solo career of rap royalty Q-Tip (The Abstract). Co-produced alongside legendary beatmaker J Dilla (under their joint production outfit Jay Dee / The Ummah), the album signalled a bold sonic evolution from Tribe's jazz-rap roots toward bouncy, synth-heavy, and minimalist funk grooves without sacrificing Q-Tip's signature conversational flow and razor-sharp cadences.

Pressed on 140g Standard Black Vinyl, this LP reissue brings Jay Dee and Q-Tip's crisp, trunk-rattling low-end production back to analogue turntable setups.
